What is Winter Brutality?

  • Winter Brutality 2025 is a Brutality Shooting Competition like no other. Not only will you struggle against the event itself as an individual but also work together as a squad on some occasions to overcome significant challenges together!

This event has been reworked since the December 2024 Order In Council to be a Non-Profit highly challenging & fun event with those firearms that remain available to us. SKS, Garands, Bolt Actions, Lever Actions and Rimfires are all welcome to this event and all will have fun! Any funds that exceed the event costs will be split between covering volunteer staff costs and if possible a community shooting organisation to help our sporting future

Because of the complexity of running this event with what is left it will now be a participation event where you are fighting the event itself and not competing against one another. Your stages & times will still be scored for personal enjoyment but this will not be a competition.

  • The event will be conducted on March 1st and 2nd, with the same stages being run each day, attendees will only need to attend on one day but may attend both with their first score being counted.

  • There will be 8 shooting stages and in addition to the 4 arduous activities.

    • Arduous activities are non-shooting activities involving physical and mental challenges. They will take place in parallel to shooting stages with groups conducting them while others from their squad shoot. They will not simply be physical challenges but will require leadership, reasoning, and performance under pressure.

  • A Glock 17 and 48 9x19 pistol will be available for attendees to rent during the event at $50 per firearm per day. The renter must email proof to canadianmultigun@gmail.com immediately after registering on Practiscore of having passed a dynamic handgun course within the last 3 years or having a valid accreditation based on participating in dynamic shooting events/training on an annual basis. Renters MUST read the rental rules which are shown in the event rules. Those renting a firearm will be in the same squad and as such a maximum of 10 people may rent each firearm each day

  • This shoot will involve challenging physical activity in uncertain weather conditions (It may be cold, raining, snowing or all 3). This can include the movement of heavy objects, moving through undulating terrain at speed and more. Nice big log fires will be present. You MUST bring a spare set of clothing that you can compete in. You may get wet!

  • Entry Price: $100

  • Swag: A Canadian Multigun & Winter Brutality patch are included in the ticket price

  • Discounts: To be updated closer to the event

  • A gear inspection will take place prior to any shooting to ensure all those who attend have the appropriate PPE and equipment appropriate to the competition (to avoid any “fumbles”)

  • Location: 13620 Highway 33 East Kelowna, BC, V1P 1K2

Refund Policy

No refunds, cancellations and no shows are very hard for us to recover from. We have to procure equipment & consumables well in advance and finding replacements at the last minute is effectively impossible. We don’t like doing this but we have to.
