Summer Brutality 2024 is a 2 gun brutality shooting competition like no other. July 20th and 21st the event is taking part in the Okanagan valley of British Columbia at Joe Rich Sportsman’s Association range where you and your equipment will face 8-10 savage stages involving intense physical & mental effort in up forests, heat and more

What is Summer Brutality?
Summer Brutality 2024 is a Brutality Shooting Competition like no other. Not only will you compete against all other attendees as an individual but also working together as a squad on some occasions in unscored activities.
The event will be conducted on July 20th and 21st, with the same stages being run each day, competitors will only need to attend on one day but may attend both with their first score being counted. Light Infantry division members start Friday July 19th immediately after registration
A Glock 17 and 48 9x19 pistol will be available for competitors to rent during the event at $50 per firearm per day. Those renting a firearm will be in the same squadd and as such a maximum of 10 people may rent each firearm each day.
This shoot will involve challenging physical activity in uncertain weather conditions (It may be hot, dry, cold, wet or all 4). This can include the movement od heavy objects, moving through undulating terrain at speed and more. You MUST bring a spare set of clothing that you can compete in. You may get wet!

A gear inspection will take place prior to any shooting to ensure all those who attend have the appropriate PPE and equipment appropriate to the competition (to avoid any “fumbles”)

Who is this event for?
You don’t need to be a high speed super shooter to come to this event, you do need to be well versed in handling your firearm safely and have your equipment set up for use with winter clothing in advance. If you’re confident you can act safely, have zeroed your firearms and have practised dynamic movement & exercise then this is for you!
Targets will range from 0 - 300m for rifles and PCCs and a maximum of 50m for pistols
The event will be made of 6-7x shooting stages and 2-4 non shooting stages (non-shooting stages will not be scored) except for Light Infantry Division participants who will have additional activities to take part in.
Light Infantry Division participants will be required to camp out overnight and conduct arduous tasks. Night vision is not required but may help. The light infantry will also conduct additional physical activities outside of the stages during the event. The Light infantry division is only open to those shooting on Saturday 20th.
Round count (Suggested quantity to bring to the event not a minimum round count)
Rifle: 325
Pistol: 250
Note: Those conducting the event in a division not requiring a pistol will require twice as much rifle ammunition and may not be able to conduct every aspect of all the stages (where possible rifle only shooters will shoot the same stage in a different way)
A minimum magazine/stripper clip capacity of 50 rounds for both rifle and pistol is required

Friday July 19th: Saturday shooters arrive at the range 1800 - 1900 for registration & equipment check. Light Infantry Division Shooters will start the event immediately after registration. Light infantry participants will all be placed in Alpha squad, then subsequent squads to keep them all together.
Saturday July 20th: Saturday shooters arrive at the range 0600, safety brief 0700, event starts 0730. Sunday shooters arrive 1800 - 1900 for registrations & equipment check
Sunday July 21st: Sunday shooters arrive at the range 0600, safety brief 0700, event starts 0730
NB: If you will struggle to make registration & gear check times just email us and we'll work something out
A post event social will take place at a to be confirmed pub on the Saturday and Sunday

No refunds, cancellations and no shows are very hard for us to recover from. We have to procure equipment & consumables well in advance and finding replacements at the last minute is effectively impossible. We don’t like doing this but we have to.
