What is Winter Brutality?

• Winter Brutality 2024 is a Brutality Shooting Competition like no other. Not only will you compete against all other attendees as an individual but also working together as a squad on some occasions in unscored activities.

• The event will be conducted on March 2nd and 3rd, with the same stages being run each day, competitors will only need to attend on one day but may attend both with their first score being counted.

• A static night shoot will take place in the evening after sunset and is included in all competitors entry fee.

• A Glock 17 and 48 9x19 pistol will be available for competitors to rent during the event at $50 per firearm per day. Those renting a firearm will be in the same squadd and as such a maximum of 10 people may rent each firearm each day.

• This shoot will involve challenging physical activity in uncertain weather conditions (It may be cold, raining, snowing or all 3). This can include the movement od heavy objects, moving through undulating terrain at speed and more. Nice big log fires will be present. You MUST bring a spare set of clothing that you can compete in. You may get wet!

• Entry Price: $275 early bird till Dec 17th, $300 thereon. Annual heroes (those who attended all the events of 2023) pay $250, attendees of both days pay an extra $250

• Swag: A Canadian Multigun & Winter Brutality patch are included in the ticket price

• A gear inspection will take place prior to any shooting to ensure all those who attend have the appropriate PPE and equipment appropriate to the competition (to avoid any “fumbles”)

Who is this event for?

You don’t need to be a high speed super shooter to come to this event, you do need to be well versed in handling your firearm safely and have your equipment set up for use with winter clothing in advance. If you’re confident you can act safely, have zeroed your firearms and have practised dynamic movement & exercise then this is for you!

Targets will range from 5 - 300m for rifles and PCCs and a maximum of 50m for pistols

Round count (Suggested quantity to bring to the event not a minimum round count)

• Rifle: 300

• Pistol: 250

Note: Those conducting the event in a division not requiring a pistol will require twice as much rifle ammunition and may not be able to participate in 1 stage

A minimum magazine/stripper clip capacity of 50 rounds for rifle is required. Likewise a suggested 50 round magazine capacity for handguns

Event Schedule

• Friday March 1st: Saturday shooters arrive at the range 1800 - 2000 for registration & equipment check

• Saturday March 2nd: Saturday shooters arrive at the range 0600, safety brief 0700 , event starts 0730. Sunday shooters arrive 1800 - 2000 for registration & equipment check

• Sunday March 3rd: Sunday shooters arrive at the range 0600, safety brief 0700, event starts 0730

Competitors on both days are welcome to meet for an after shoot drink/food at Crossroads Brewery 508 George St, Prince George

No refunds, cancellations and no shows are very hard for us to recover from. We have to procure equipment & consumables well in advance and finding replacements at the last minute is effectively impossible. We don’t like doing this but we have to.
